Wests Tigers and Newcastle Knights have both named strong teams for their Round 23 clash this Saturday, August 15 at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.

Kickoff for the match is scheduled for 3:00pm AEST, with live coverage via Fox Sports 1.

Coming into the match with two consecutive wins over the Melbourne Storm and Canberra Raiders, Wests Tigers Coach Jason Taylor has stuck with the same 18-man squad that’s done the job recently, with Manaia Cherrington again named in jersey 18.

Martin Taupau (suspension, Round 24) and Chris Lawrence (injury, Round 25) still remain unavailable for selection, but the news is better for Kevin Naiqama, who has been named on the wing despite picking up an injury on Monday night against Canberra.

For the Newcastle Knights, last week’s loss to the Sydney Roosters has brought about several changes to the side, but perhaps the biggest news is the inclusion of Beau Scott, who has been named despite appearing to pick up a foot injury in Sunday’s match.

The New South Wales representative forward has been named alongside Tariq Sims in the back-row, while Kade Snowdon returns from a concussion injury to the front row.

Captain Kurt Gidley also moves to five-eighth, with Jake Mamo coming back into the team at fullback, while Dane Gagai — who starred at the back in the Knights’ momentary comeback last week — has been named in the centres alongside Sione Mata’utia.

Danny Buderus has named a five-man bench consisting of Tyler Randell, Joseph Tapine, Chris Houston, Clint Newton and Sam Mataora, with Danny Levi back to NSW Cup.

It's going to be a cracking afternoon of footy in Campbelltown, with all three grades on display, so make sure you grab the family and don't miss out on a fantastic day!
