Wests Tigers will look to extend a strong recent record over the Cronulla Sharks when they meet this Saturday at Remondis Stadium for their Round 24 clash.

Winners in 15 of their last 18 games against the Sharks, Wests Tigers will be keen to continue that record this Saturday as they desperately look to pick up two points and keep teams between them and the bottom of the ladder. Jason Taylor’s side appear to have turned a corner with two wins in their last three games — coinciding with the return of captain Robbie Farah from injury — and will no doubt be keen to bounce back into the winners circle this weekend following a heartbreaking 24-18 loss to the Newcastle Knights.

For the home side, a last-start flogging at the hands of the Storm was hardly the run into the finals that Shane Flanagan would have been after, and as such, the Sharks will be looking for a much-improved performance to consolidate their top eight spot.

It’s therefore as an intriguing clash at Remondis Stadium on Saturday between two sides both equally desperate for the two points on offer, albeit for very contrasting reasons.
