Wests Tigers received a very welcome visitor at today’s training session in Leichhardt.

Bill Slee, a proud Wests Tigers Member, has followed the Club since the joint venture was formed in 2000 and is as passionate as they come.

The Penrith local’s car is decked out in Wests Tigers paraphernalia and over the past 16 seasons he has collected a huge amount of memorabilia– including a prized possession - his 2005 jersey.

Bill is fighting a battle with two strains of cancer and was invited to meet members of the NRL squad at today’s training session.

The 2005 premiership victory is one of his favourite memories, cheering the team on from St Mary’s Leagues Club as they recorded the famous 30-16 win over North Queensland.

Meeting the two remaining members of that side in Robbie Farah and Dene Halatau was a special moment today, with the pair signing a number of items of merchandise from 2005 for the avid supporter.

Bill also had a laugh with one of his other favourites in Aaron Woods before the players got stuck in to another tough pre-season training session.

Bill says he still has work to do on his Wests Tigers’ themed car, which you can see in the pictures below.
