Wests Tigers’ Under 20s side will have their first hit-out of 2016 in a trial match tomorrow night at Kirkham Oval against the Penrith Panthers.
Head Coach Willie Peters has named a new-look side for the game in Camden, with 19 players from 22-man squad set to play their first match for the Club.
The game will provide the younger players in the squad with a chance to impress in the absence of a lot second-year Holden Cup players, who featured last weekend in the successful Wests Tigers team at the Jason Annear Memorial Nines tournament.
Wests Tigers will come up against last year’s premiers Penrith, who lifted the Holden Cup trophy last October after a 34-18 victory over Manly-Warringah.
The match is set to kick-off at 6pm, with Canberra and Parramatta playing an Under 20s trial beforehand at 4pm.
