Wests Tigers NSW Cup and NYC Holden Cup side have delivered some positive trial performances in 2016, opening up with matches last Saturday at Kirkham Oval.

Having taken out the Jason Annear Memorial Nines tournament earlier this season, Wests Tigers NSW Cup side continued their strong form under new coach Paul Stringer with a 20-16 (no shots at goal taken) victory over rivals Wyong Roos on Saturday afternoon.

Willie Peters' NYC Holden Cup side also posted a strong result, going down 28-22 to the Sydney Roosters having led 22-10 at half-time with a strong squad playing the first half.

Both teams will feature in trial matches next Saturday afternoon at Campbelltown Sports Stadium when they face the Cronulla Sharks (NYC) and Newtown Jets (NSW Cup).
