Wests Tigers Intrust Super Premiership side will look to build some momentum when they host the Canterbury Bulldogs at Leichhardt Oval on Saturday afternoon.

After starting the 2016 season with two wins and a loss, Paul Stringer's side come into Saturday's game fifth on the competition ladder — six spots ahead of the Bulldogs.

New halves combination Jack Littlejohn and Josh Drinkwater featured together for the first time last weekend, and the side responded with a convincing 44-16 victory against Wyong — a much-improved performance following a heavy defeat to the Warriors in Round 2.

New recruit Josh Addo-Carr has scored four tries in three games to start the year, with the winger’s blistering speed on display already this season with several runaway tries.

Addo-Carr’s combination with fullback Watson Heleta at the back is beginning to flourish, with the fullback scoring two tries last week and running for over 170 metres, following a man-of-the-match performance in his side's Round 2 loss to the New Zealand Warriors.

Former Holden Cup forward Jordan Grant will again look to lead from the front against the mobile Canterbury pack after an impressive display against Wyong’s big men.

Grant was one of the Club's best forwards in the match, running for over 160 metres in his two spells, and even crossed the line in the second half for his first try of the year.

Canterbury come into the match in 11th position with a draw against Newtown in Round 1 their only registered point to start the year. Andy Patmore's side appeared destined to grab their first win of the competition last week when they led Manly late in the match, before the Sea Eagles crossed in the final minute to keep the Bulldogs winless in season 2016.

There's no doubt this week's visitors will be coming out firing as they aim to kick-start their season, and with the likes of Kerrod Holland, Tyrone Phillips, Dane Chisolm and Pat O'Hanlon in the side, there's more than enough strikepower to keep the hosts on their toes.

Kickoff for the match is at 3:00pm at Leichhardt Oval on Saturday, March 26.
