Wests Tigers centre Tim Simona has been successful in getting his Dangerous Contact – Head/Neck charge downgraded at the NRL Judiciary this evening.

Having been originally charged with a Grade 2 offence following a tackle on Jack Bird  — which would have ruled him out for two weeks — Simona pleaded guilty to the offence at the Judiciary tonight but was able to get the charge downgraded to a Grade 1.

The result is that the Samoan international centre is now free to play for Wests Tigers this Sunday afternoon when they take on the Newcastle Knights at Hunter Stadium.
