Wests Tigers recently held a special Ladies Lounge Movie Night, raising funds for special Edmund Rice Camps.

Held at Event Cinemas Burwood and supported by Phil Gilbert Motor Group and Westfield Burwood, the evening saw a packed cinema enjoy Me Before You.

As well as watching the film the group heard from Bethany Scott from Edmund Rice Camps about the important work that the group does.

Edmund Rice Camp provide holiday experiences for young people aged 6 to 15 years, who would not otherwise be able to enjoy them. Each school holidays, Edmund Rice Camps run week-long residential camps at the Edmund Rice Retreat and Conference Centre, “Winbourne” in Mulgoa, NSW. All profits from the night went towards an additional camp for young people within our regions.

Edmund Rice Camp programs combine 20-30 young participants with 20-30 young adult volunteers for a week of games and fun activities that encourage participants to get involved and engage socially. Through positive interaction with the volunteers, participants are able to forget pressures and responsibilities that they may be experiencing at home, and relax and enjoy the camp experience.
