Wests Tigers vice-captain Chris Lawrence says he's expecting a tough clash when his side face the in-form Penrith Panthers this Saturday afternoon at ANZ Stadium.

After watching his side almost pull off the Club's greatest ever comeback on Sunday against the Melbourne Storm — going down 29-20 in the end — Lawrence said that Saturday's game against the Panthers would be another difficult 80-minute challenge.

"They've definitely got a lot of big forwards with plenty of offloads," Lawrence said.

"They play off the back of those offloads and they're really hard to stop, so for us, it's about trying to limit the chances they have and limit the opportunity they have on our line.

"Penrith are the type of side that can be down with 20 minutes to go, and then quickly put four or five tries on in quick succession, and they showed that a few weeks ago to.

"We're going to need to put in a full 80-minute performance this week and try to reduce the opportunities that they have. For us, that comes down to our composure and control."
