Wests Tigers vice-captain Chris Lawrence spoke to ABC Grandstand following last night’s 34-26 win over the Penrith Panthers at ANZ Stadium.
The 27-year-old made 123 metres, 28 tackles, a line-break and a try-assist in a stellar performance against the Panthers last night.
Lawrence spoke to Andrew Moore and Matt Elliot from the ABC Grandstand team early today.
“I thought it was a good performance all round from the boys,” Lawrence said. “Even though it was a bit of a slow start, particularly not having any possession in that first twenty minutes, but I thought once we got a fair share of the ball we showed what we could do with our attack.
“I don’t think we can look too far ahead at the moment, I think we really need to focus on this next month of footy and try to continue playing consistently during that time.
“If we can keep doing that, then hopefully we can win a few games within the next month and set ourselves for a run in that final month.
“For us it’s about this next month being really important for us,” he said.
