Wests Tigers’ Intrust Super Premiership side will play the Newtown Jets this Saturday in a trial match at Henson Park.

In what will be the final pre-season match before Round 1, Head Coach David Heath has named a strong 21-man squad for the encounter.

The forward pack will be considerably bolstered by NRL squad members Wesley Lolo, JJ Felise, Junior Tatola, Taniela Paseka and Bayley Sironen.

Paseka will play his first match of the year, having missed the NRL Auckland Nines and last weekend’s trial due to a shoulder injury.

Felise will not feature in tomorrow night’s NRL trial match as named earlier in the week, with the young prop looking to play big minutes in the ISP clash against Newtown.

Sironen, who was also named in the first-grade squad to play the Cowboys, may end up featuring in both the NRL and ISP games this weekend.

The team also includes four Holden Cup squad members in Ryan Papenhuyzen, Toa Mata’afa, Tony Tali and Daniel Peck – who will be looking to impress in the senior grade.

The match will be the second pre-season hit-out for Heath’s side, who defeated the Wentworthville Magpies 16-8 on Monday night.

Peck, Jackson Williams, Darcy Cox and Jaleel Seve scored the side’s four tries in the win at Ringrose Park.

The match will be the second-game at the ground on Saturday, with Wests Tigers Holden Cup opening the program at 4pm before the Intrust Super Premiership game at 6pm.
