Wests Tigers Head Coach Ivan Cleary and captain Aaron Woods spoke to the media after the team's Round 14 defeat against the Sydney Roosters at Campbelltown.

After positive signs in the team's prior 16-12 defeat to the St. George-Illawarra Dragons, Cleary said it was a disappointing second half from his side after trailing by just four at the break.

“Second half was really disappointing," Cleary said.

"We came up with simple errors and couldn’t build any pressure.

“Our first half was good — we completed our over 80 percent. We came here looking to force a few errors which we did, but a lot of errors in the second half early in the count was bad.

“It was just the fundamentals of the game.

"We couldn’t get it done in the second half, and if you don’t do that you’re in trouble."

Cleary did offer one positive for Wests Tigers fans, with the Coach confirming that halfback Luke Brooks is expected to make his return from a hamstring injury next week against Cronulla.

“It will make a huge difference [having him back],” said Cleary.

“It’ll be a lot easier for him [Tui Lolohea] when Brooks is there. He’s got a job to do and needs to keep working on that as he hasn’t played a lot of first grade lately.”
