Wests Tigers forward Matt Eisenhuth says Sunday's clash against the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles at Lottoland will be a big but exciting test for the middle forwards.

Fresh after a last start win over the Newcastle Knights in Round 17 and the bye in Round 18, the rookie prop says he's looking forward to the challenge of taking on a dominant Manly pack.

“They’ve probably exceeded everyone’s expectations at the start of the year," he said.

"They've definitely stemmed themselves as a premiership contender and I think that’s coming off the back if their forward pack. They’re strong, they’re big and mobile — they’ve got all the attributes and the backs are just rolling off the back of them.

"The middle this week for us is a big challenge to match with them and try and out do the opposite number and put our boys on the front foot.

“Hoping we're in a good finish to the year, starting with Manly this weekend.

Having only debuted earlier last month against the Cronulla Sharks, Eisenhuth said his maiden NRL win against the Knights last week was a special moment for his career.

“We came so close on my debut and then we were close against the Titans, so to finally get that win and tick it off is good and you want to build on that” stated Eisenhuth.

“I think we've been doing the little things well, we just haven't been staying focused.

"My first week we played pretty tough, it was just lapse in concentration. It was the same against the Titans and with the Knights we came out and put not a full 80-minute performance but probably the closest to it and that resulted in the win.

"Hopefully we can build on that again this weekend.

“Probably the biggest challenge I’ve had so far and I know the boys will be ready for it and be looking forward to the challenge.”
