Wests Tigers Development player Thomas Mikaele has been named as part of the 26-man Queensland U/20 Emerging Origin squad to be coached by Justin Hodges.
In total, there are 10 members of the Queensland Under 20 side who narrowly lost to NSW in their annual representative clash earlier this year at Suncorp Stadium.
Hodges will head up the High Performance camp being held at the Queensland Academy of Sport training facilities next month with players assembling from January 18-21.
A Keebra Park graduate in 2016, Mikaele was named in the 2017 Emerging Origin squad before making a superb debut Holden Cup season for Wests Tigers, playing 17 games.
A QLD U/18's representative in 2015 and 2016, the former Australian Schoolboy was rewarded promotion to the club's Development squad in 2018 alongside three other players.
