Lantrak Man of the Match: Round 3

Wests Tigers co-captain Russell Packer's determined performance against the Brisbane Broncos on Friday has seen him named the Lantrak Man of the Match.

Playing the entire first half and continuing through the second with just a short break, Packer was relentless with his effort — chalking up 119 metres from his 15 runs, the second most of any Wests Tigers forward.

What was perhaps most impressive from Packer was his commitment in defence with the Kiwi international doing his best to make up for the absence of Elijah Taylor in the middle of the field.

Packer chalked up 48 tackles in the match — the most from any Wests Tigers player on the night and the most of any player in the game. The number is also the highest number of tackles that Packer has made in a match since individual statistics started being recorded, a remarkable effort indeed!
