Wests Tigers Tarsha Gale side have extended their remarkable unbeaten start to 2018 with a tough 40-26 victory over the St. George Dragons on Saturday morning.
Coming in to the match on the back of five consecutive wins, the visitors were made to work for their points against a determined Dragons outfit, with the match locked at 16-all during the second half.
However, the class of Wests Tigers shone through to move in to second on the competition ladder ahead of a mouthwatering clash against the also undefeated Cronulla Sharks on Good Friday.
It was a fast start from Wests Tigers, who raced to a 16-0 lead in as many minutes before the Dragons fought their way back in to the contest. Shaylee Bent continued her strong start to the season with a hat-trick, while Emily Curtain produced another sound performance controlling the middle of the field.
All up, it was a resilient performance from Wests Tigers, who will take plenty of confidence from the 14-point victory as they prepare for a highly-anticipated showdown against the Sharks next weekend.
