Wests Tigers will head to Lottoland (Brookvale) this Sunday afternoon looking to continue their impressive start to 2018 against the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles.
Despite arguably the toughest start to the draw in history, Ivan Cleary's sit inside the top four on the ladder through the first five weeks of the season with their only loss a controversial Golden Point defeat.
Their opponents this week, the Sea Eagles, sit narrowly inside the top eight on for-and-against off the back of an inconsistent start to the year. Trent Barrett's side have benefited from comfortable wins over the struggling Canberra Raiders and Parramatta Eels, but have been unable to record any other victories in 2018 — going down 32-20 in a last start defeat to the Gold Coast Titans in Gladstone.
They'll return home to Lottoland desperate to turn around their form, and with sunny conditions expected for the game, there's no doubting the home side will lift their performances in front of the locals.
Wests Tigers have won just once at Brookvale in history, and that was back in 2003, so they'll need to defy the odds once again this weekend if they are to get the job done. However, defying the odds is exactly what Cleary's side have thrived on so far this season, and they'll certainly be up for the challenge once again.
With Tom Trbojevic set to return for the home side while Josh Reynolds and Elijah Taylor could both be back for the visitors, this is shaping as a game you don't want to miss and a cracking day out at the footy!
