Wests Tigers co-captain Chris Lawrence has been named the Lantrak Man of the Match for Round 16 following his performance against the Gold Coast Titans.

While it was a tough afternoon for Wests Tigers, the 29-year-old Lawrence was again one of his side's most dangerous players with the ball in hand and showed plenty of resilience defending on the left edge also.

Lawrence's first meaningful involvement came in the 16th minute when his clever ball-playing skills released Kevin Naiqama for a length-of-the-field effort, before his incredible turnover tackle on Ash Taylor not long after paved the way for Wests Tigers to work the ball down field and score through Josh Reynolds.

In total, Lawrence finished the game with 57 run metres, plus a try assist and a linebreak assist to go along with his 29 tackles — recording just one missed tackle in the frustrating 18-point defeat.

Having scored or assisted four tries in his last five games, Lawrence will look to continue his good run of attacking form after the Round 17 bye when his side takes on the top-of-the-table Dragons.
