Wests Tigers are deeply saddened by the passing of Steve "Bear" Hall, a member of the club's staff as Operations Assistant, and send its sincerest condolences to his family.
A lifelong Wests Tigers fan, "Bear" had recently acted as an operations assistant with the club on game day for a number of years, having previously worked in coaching, development and mentoring roles with Wests Tigers and Western Suburbs.
Having officially retired from official NSWRL duties last year following his 26-year career, Bear will be remembered for his compassionate nature and tireless work ethic as well as the passion he showed for developing Indigenous young players.
Bear had a long and respected playing career throughout the western region of NSW, and was instrumental in the development of a number of key youth Indigenous programs in his role as Indigenous Rugby League Development officer.
The thoughts of all at Wests Tigers are with Bear's wife Marg, as well as his family, friends and the wider NSWRL community during this difficult time.
