Points flow as Magpies topple Jets at Lidcombe Oval

Western Suburbs Magpies have produced a dominant attacking display to down the Newtown Jets today at Lidcombe Oval.

Having raced to a 16-0 lead in as many minutes with tries to Jacob Liddle, Kane Bradley and David Nofoaluma, Western Suburbs looked in control of the match before a strong comeback from Newtown saw the Jets take the lead.

The hosts wouldn't go away, however, with a second try to Bradley putting them back in front before late efforts from Dylan Smith and Kauri Aupouri ensured the Magpies would emerge triumphant from their return to Lidcombe Oval.

Wests will look to make it back-to-back wins when they face North Sydney next week, with the Magpies live on Channel 9 once again from 1:00pm on Sunday.
