Paul Momirovski named in Prime Minister's XIII

Wests Tigers centre Paul Momirovski has been named to make his representative debut as part of the Prime Minister's XIII side to face Fiji at ANZ National Stadium on Friday, October 11.

The 23-year-old has been named as one of 12 PM's XIII debutants by Coach Mal Meninga, with five Australian representatives also included in the side.

In his first season with the club, Momirovski featured strongly in the centres and on the wing — ending the year with a remarkable try-scoring rate of eight tries from 11 games to go with his 21 goals.

The 2019 match will be the first time the men's and women's PM's XIII sides have played in Fiji.

“The Prime Minister’s XIII match is a key match in the representative calendar for a number of reasons,” Meninga said.

“It’s part of the representative pathway that rewards the players strong performances from the premiership season, as well as showcasing the positive impact rugby league has for communities throughout the Pacific.

“The Prime Minister and I had some discussions recently about the make up of the side and believe we’ve struck a solid balance of youth and experience for next Friday’s fixture in Suva.”
