Around the Grounds: Round 8

It was another enthralling week of rugby league in Round 8 with several dramatic finishes and encapsulating upsets throughout.

Melbourne kicked off the round with an incredible Golden Point win over the Sydney Roosters, while four tries to Fijian flyer Maika Sivo ensured the Parramatta Eels would stay top of the table for another week with a big win over the Cowboys.

The Warriors got their first win under new Coach Todd Payten, while Penrith just got past Wests Tigers in a tumultuous and fiery encounter at Bankwest Stadium.

Sunday saw the Knights hold on against the Sea Eagles — but not without some controversy after the final siren — while South Sydney bounced back from last week's loss to the Panthers to cruise past the last-placed Bulldogs.
