Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe has paid credit to Life Members Chris Lawrence and Benji Marshall as the pair prepare to celebrate 250 games each for the club this Saturday in Round 13.

In a video to Wests Tigers Members, Pascoe was full of praise for the veteran duo β€” highlighting both their on-field contributions to the club but also their off-field role in embodying and displaying the core values of Wests Tigers.

"If you could create a team with 30 players that had the same characteristics of Chris, it would be incredible," Pascoe said.

"As a human β€” first and foremost β€” he is exceptional.

"The way he carries himself on the field coupled with his effort and commitment on field has never been questioned by anyone, and never will.

"He is a player who has been through tremendous adversity and come out the other side, which is a true testament to his character and the support network around him.

"To Chris, Kathryn and his family, we want to thank you for being a part of this club and we couldn't be happier that he is celebrating 250 games as a one-club man.

"I'm also incredibly delighted that Benji is back here playing his 250th game for the club he clearly loves," Pascoe said. "It is a credit to him for his commitment to Wests Tigers and to this organisation for bringing him back.

Benji and the brave: Marshall and Lawrence ready for 250th

"Both Chris and Benji have been integral to our club this season and they still have eight games to go before a finals campaign and we have no doubt that they will be a big part of what we do for the rest of this year."

Marshall and Lawrence will become just the second and third players respectively to reach the 250-game mark for Wests Tigers, with fellow Life Member Robbie Farah reaching the mark back in 2018.
