Moses Mbye

Wests Tigers veteran Moses Mbye believes this week’s pre-season camp is key to the club’s success in 2021.

As the players ramp up their pre-season intensity, as well as participating in a number of community events, Mbye says it’s a perfect time to unite together ahead of a fresh campaign.

“The focus about this camp [in Tamworth] is to narrow our focus on what we need to do,” Mbye

“It gets rid of some of the distractions we sometimes have back home and we can build some strong connections and bonds with our peers.”

With the club recruiting a number of key players – including James Tamou, James Roberts and Joe Ofahengaue – there are no excuses for team in 2021 – according to Mbye.

After narrowly missing out on the finals over the past couple of seasons, the utility is eager for Wests Tigers to return to the top eight this time around.

“We continue to work extremely hard. We’ve got some really good recruits. We’ve got no excuse,” Mbye said.

“This is the year we put our head down and bum up, and hopefully we can have some success.”
