Wests Tigers continued to enrich the lives of the community as the club celebrated Harmony Week with a special event at the elite training facilities.
Harmony Week coincided with Wests Tigers officially launching the ‘Unite Harmony program’ — an initiative targeted towards high school students in stages 4 and 5.
Unite Harmony — which is the club’s first cohesion program — runs over six weeks and touches on themes such as healthy relationships, teamwork, excellence, communication, respect and wellbeing.
Wests Tigers Foundation were overjoyed to host students from Homebush Boys High School, as well as newly arrived migrants from charity partner Settlement Services International to officially launch the program.
As well as having the opportunity to throw a football around and learn new rugby league skills, the participants enjoyed an engaging presentation by NRL Head Coach Michael Maguire and player Shawn Blore, as well as a number of Wests Tigers staff members.
Wests Tigers thank the NRL Community team for their assistance and contribution as we continue to enrich the lives of the community by providing the Unite Harmony program for all high schools within our catchment areas.
