Wests Tigers Coach Michael Maguire is ready for the next challenge ahead of his side’s Round 14 clash against Parramatta Eels at Bankwest Stadium.

Following back-to-back wins for the first time this season, Maguire has been impressed by the growth of his team but said there’s still plenty of room to improve.

“Each week, we need to keep improving as we have been,” Maguire said.

“Our combinations are continually building. The younger guys are starting to understand the game a lot more now.

“Each day, the players need rock up to training with a smile on their face and rip in.”

After beating the ladder leading Panthers last Friday night, Maguire said his players are now up for the next challenge against the Eels, who sit third on the ladder at the halfway stage of the season.

“It’s a very important game for us and it’s another big test for us,” he said.

“We’ve got a lot of work to do and we are up for the challenge. This is an opportunity for us to take another step forward.

“The Eels have quality across the park — they are up the top of the ladder for a reason. They have plenty of strike but we know our game and know how we want to play.”
