Wests Tigers to play behind closed doors at Leichhardt Oval

Wests Tigers have announced event changes to the club’s Round 16 fixture at Leichhardt Oval due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation.

To adhere with the NSW Government restrictions, along with the Level 4 COVID-19 protocols enacted by the National Rugby League, Wests Tigers’ Round 16 match against the South Sydney Rabbitohs will be played behind closed doors at Leichhardt Oval.

The Knock-On Effect NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg fixtures against the Rabbitohs — which were scheduled to be played as curtain-raisers to the NRL clash — have been cancelled with the NSWRL competitions suspended.

All purchasers of tickets will receive a full refund and do not need to take any further action.

Wests Tigers Members with match access will receive communications later this week regarding options as a result of this match being played behind closed doors

Wests Tigers Members and fans can still show their support to the team by posting a photo on social media using #ShowYourStripes.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, Members Day — which was scheduled for Saturday, 3rd July — has been postponed. The replanning of this event is dependent on COVID-19 restrictions imposed by the NSW Government and the NRL.

The club wishes to thank all Members and fans for their patience and understanding as we work together to protect the health and safety of the community.
