Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe says he's excited to see the first episode of an extraordinary new documentary series, Wild Wests: Tales from Tiger Town, which follows the club's 2021 campaign.

The first of its kind four-part docu-series showcases the best of sports documentary storytelling and will be available to watch on Foxtel and stream on Kayo.

The first episode will premiere Monday, 19th July, with episodes two and three to follow in consecutive weeks (August 9th and 16th) following the Olympics.

The final episode will air Monday, 30th August ahead of the NRL Finals.

"This decision was taken on with Fox over a year ago now," Pascoe said.

"It's really important to understand and note that it's been a really brave decision from the club. We're taking on the responsibility to give our Members and fans access like they've never had before, and rugby league fans in general, and it demonstrates the passion that every single person at this club has to make it great.

"The greatest access we can give is what we have in this documentary β€” there's been over 600 hours of filming that have gone into it.

"I know as a fan myself that the greatest thing you can have is access to your favourite team and that's what we've tried to do with this one."

The series follows every aspect of the Wests Tigers’ 2021 season β€” the triumphs and tears β€” taking viewers into the inner sanctum of the rugby league club during four, hour-long episodes.

Viewers will get never-before-seen, raw and unfiltered access to the highs and lows of a season that has challenged players, staff, and fans both on and off the field.

"The biggest thing that separates this from other documentaries is the raw nature of it," Pascoe said. "It's a genuine appraisal of what happens β€” from the administration side of the business to the football side, to training and game day.

"It shows all the preparation that goes into making the weekend happen.

"Having said, I don't think that we do is materially all that different to what any other club does," he added. "What we are is the first club to take this challenge on and we're really proud of that β€” the innovation we show as a club.

"We're as frustrated the on-field success hasn't come at this stage but we know what we're building on and working toward, and that's what this will show."
