Letitia Taylor took charge of Wests Tigers Tarsha Gale Cup side last weekend, becoming the club’s first ever female Head Coach.

The up and coming coach guided the team to a resounding victory at Leichhardt Oval, beating the South Sydney Rabbitohs 28-4

Looking back, Taylor says it was a great experience, “I’m super grateful for the opportunity that the club has given me.

“I’ve been a part of the side for three years now and I’ve learnt a lot from David.” [David Fauonuku, Coaching & Development Manager]

I feel like the club is really invested in women’s footy and that’s a great motivation.

Fauonuku says the Wests Tigers will continue to be very active around the women’s game, “It’s a huge area for growth and we’re excited about the future.

It’s not just about developing more female players, but also coaches and other roles too.”
