The Western Sydney mother of two will make her Wests Tigers debut this weekend against South Sydney in the Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership.

Piliae-Rasabale made headlines in 2022 when named player of the match in her very first international appearance for Australia against Fijiana in Brisbane, and later that year lined up for Australia at the Women’s Rugby World Cup in New Zealand.

The 30-year-old, who has also played State League netball, is excited about the next chapter in her career.

“I’m thrilled to be here at Wests Tigers and can’t wait to get out there this weekend,” said Piliae-Rasabale.

It’s an amazing set up and I feel lucky to be a part of this club.

“Like the NRL team, there are really good people in charge of the women’s program as well.

“This is a great opportunity for me and my family and I’m super excited to be here.”

Wests Tigers Head of Pathways, Matthew Betsey believes Piliae-Rasabale will be a great asset to the club.

“Pauline brings all the attributes we want at Wests Tigers,” said Betsey.

“She has a professional mindset, she leads by example, is highly respectful, and is very thorough in her preparation.

Pauline will also be a great mentor for all the local juniors we are bringing through our pathways.

“We are looking to target talent from a variety of backgrounds to add to a squad that will be competitive from the outset.”

NSW Women’s Premiership head coach Adel Hage says Piliae-Rasabale has already made a positive impression.

“She’s a thorough professional and you see the level of work she puts into her craft on and off the field,” said Hage.

“Pauline is in the leadership group after only being with us a very short time. This shows the regard she is held in by her peers.”

Wests Tigers play South Sydney in the Round 3 of the NSW Women’s Premiership on Saturday at Kirkham Oval, Camden.
