Match Report: NSW Cup Round 5 vs Warriors

Western Suburbs has defeated New Zealand Warriors 22-10 in Round 5 of the Knock On Effect NSW Cup at Lidcombe Oval.

The Magpies enjoyed a bright start to the match, running in three unanswered tries in the opening 15 minutes. 

Triston Reilly scored after just two minutes before Brandon Mansfield and Rua Ngatikaura did likewise, to give the home side a 16-nil lead at half time.

Warriors winger Moala Graham-Taufa scored his team’s first try 10 minutes into the second half, before his opposite number Israel Ogden went in to give Wests an 18-point advantage.

Moala Graham-Taufa crossed for his second with five minutes remaining, reducing the Magpies' winning margin to two converted tries.
