Now in its third year, Wests Tigers Women in League Luncheon celebrates the pivotal role of women in sport as well as the growth and development of Wests Tigers female pathways and NRLW programs.
Wests Tigers are thrilled to be joined by former world No. 4 tennis player Jelena Dokic, whose story is a testament to resilience, triumph, and the unwavering spirit of a true champion.
At just 16 years of age, Jelena etched her name in tennis history by orchestrating one of the sport's most astounding upsets, dethroning world No. 1, Martina Hingis, at Wimbledon. This victory propelled Jelena to the tournament’s quarter-finals, a precursor to her consecutive semi-final appearances the following year.
Behind the grand slam glory, however, Jelena's journey is marked by incredible courage and determination. Despite suffering extreme hardships, Jelena's unyielding spirit helped her succeed against all odds.
