Match Report: Jersey Flegg Cup Round 5 vs Storm

Wests Tigers have suffered a 28-18 loss to the Storm in Melbourne in Round 5 of the Jersey Flegg Cup.

The Tigers opened the scoring after just two minutes when Solomone Saukuru found the line for his second try in his first two games of the season.

The home side hit back to take a 10-6 lead into the sheds after back-to-back tries to winger Siulagi Pio.

The Storm stretched its lead out to 16-6 when replacement forward K-CI Newton-Whare found the line, before the Tigers hit back with a try to No.14 Thomas Fisher.

Pio crossed for a third try for the Storm to restore a 10-point lead and kicked ahead even further when fullback Hugo Peel crossed for their fifth and final try of the afternoon.

Wests Tigers winger Tino Tavana crossed late on to make it 28-18 at full time.
