Wests Tigers players selected for internationals

Wests Tigers would like to congratulate our current and future players selected in international squads for the various upcoming fixtures.

Departing second-rower, Isaiah Papali’i will line up for the Kiwis, with Brooke Talataina, Najvada George and Leianne Tufuga named in the Kiwi Ferns squad.

Talataina earns her first selection in the New Zealand setup after an extremely impressive season in 2024.

After transitioning from the halves to take up a spot in the second row, the 20-year-old has proven to be a hard-working and reliable performer in the forward pack.

2025 recruit Jarome Luai will captain Toa Samoa and is joined in the squad by fellow new signing, Jeral Skelton.

Luai has previously represented the island nation on 11 occasions, while Skelton has been named in the squad for the first time in his career.

Christian Pio and Pauline Piliae-Rasabale will represent Fetu Samoa, with Pio set to make her Test debut.

Natasha Penitani has been named co-captain of Tonga after a promising first season in the NRLW.

Penitani played in all nine games of her debut campaign in the competition and was nominated for the NRLW Dally M Rookie of the Year award for her efforts.

Wests Magpies utility, James Valevatu has been selected to represent Fiji Bati, along with incoming two-time premiership-winner, Sunia Turuva.

Valevatu will feature in the squad for the first time, with Turuva having played for Fiji on six prior occasions.

For the Fiji Bulikula women’s side, halfback Losana Lutu is another who will make her first appearance at international level.

The 20-year-old’s skill and composure have made her one of the most exciting young halves in the competition.

After playing eight NRL games for Wests Tigers in 2024, Cook Islands veteran Reuben Porter will again line up for the Kuki's.
