Match Preview: NRL Round 9 vs Dragons

Magic Round is back for another year, as Wests Tigers take on the Dragons this Saturday night.

The Suncorp Stadium blockbuster is part of the sixth edition of the annual event, with Wests Tigers holding a three win, two loss Magic Round record.

These two sides clashed at the 2023 edition of Magic Round, as Wests Tigers emerged 18-16 winners in an epic encounter.

Starford To'a is out this week due to a minor neck injury, with Charlie Staines to come into the squad on the wing for his first NRL match of the season.

Brent Naden moves from wing to centre.

St. George Illawarra have made a number of changes to their side.

Corey Allan, Hamish Stewart and Lyhkan King-Togia are added to the Dragons’ 17-man squad, with Allan set to make his club debut.

The Dragons have won the last three matches against the two sides, with Wests Tigers’ last win over the Red V being the aforementioned Magic Round clash.
