Sunia Turuva discussed his excitement to face his former club for the first time since arriving at Wests Tigers.

The premiership-winning winger has quickly settled into his new home and is relishing the challenge ahead... delivering one of the more hilarious media pressers you’re ever likely to see in the process.

"Myself and Romey, we were talking about it all the time at the start of the year, and then next thing you know, it's already Round 14 and we're versing the old boys," said Turuva.

"We try not to buy into it too much but for myself it's just really hard not to think of it.

"Trying to treat the week as normal as possible."

Sunday will be a special occasion for Charlie Murray, who makes his long-awaited NRL debut after several seasons grinding away in the lower grades.

The 23-year-old forward has taken the tough road to first grade, having previously been part of NRL systems at Melbourne and the Gold Coast.

"I've worked my whole life for it, really," said Murray.

"It's been a big build up and a long road to get here, so I'm very grateful."

Murray said his family, especially his father, has been by his side through all the highs and lows.

"Parents, partner, were over the moon; stoked for me. Especially my old man, it's been me and him this whole time, and obviously my partner, mum and extended family, but it's special for my dad, cause he's been there through everything."

Kit Laulili’i is set to make his return to the NRL side this weekend, having impressed for Wests in The Knock On Effect NSW Cup. The hard-running middle forward is eager to bring energy off the bench and do his job for the team.

"It's been a while. Obviously worked hard in Cup and I'm just keen to get back and do a job for the boys," said Laulili'i.

"Bit of an impact player, come on there, just do my job.

"Do whatever is necessary to get the boys on the roll and hopefully we get the job done."

Experienced forward Alex Seyfarth praised the Tigers squad heading into Round 14 and was confident they could get a result if they play their style of football.

"If we put it together and play our style of football, we can score points," said Seyfarth.

"Jeral coming out the back-field, he gets some good yardage carries and he starts our sets off.

"I think going into this week, we can get the win, we've got the bye next week, and then we can just focus on the back-end of the season."

Wests Tigers host Penrith Panthers at CommBank Stadium this Sunday at 4:05pm, with a bumper crowd expected for the Rumble in the Jungle.
