Kezie Apps locked in as NRLW Captain

Wests Tigers are pleased to announce that Kezie Apps will lead the club as NRLW Captain for the upcoming 2025 season.

The Jillaroos Co-Captain was also Wests Tigers NRLW Co-Captain last season, and the second-rower has now been appointed the side’s sole skipper ahead of the upcoming campaign.

Apps recently re-signed with the club until the end of the 2029 season in a huge coup for the club’s female program.

A natural leader both on and off the field, Apps has been instrumental in setting professional standards within the squad.

Her relentless work ethic, competitive spirit, and willingness to mentor younger players have made her a central figure in developing the side’s culture and her influence has been clear and consistent since joining Wests Tigers.

After a successful trip to Las Vegas with the Jillaroos and a 2-1 Origin series win, Kezie is primed for a huge NRLW season.

"I'm really excited to lead these girls heading into the new season," Apps said.

"They're such a great group and I see so much potential in what we can achieve.

My time at Wests Tigers has been some of the most enjoyable of my career and I'm excited to keep guiding this team forward.

NRLW Head Coach Brett Kimmorley praised Apps’ leadership and her impact on the squad.

“Kezie provides so much to our group, she’s someone that a lot of the other girls look up to,” said Kimmorley.

“She’s shown her leadership capabilities for so many years now, both at Wests Tigers and at representative level.

The experience that she brings to the squad is priceless and we’re privileged to have her as our skipper at Wests Tigers.
