New recruits and established stars in line for first NRLW hit out of 2025
Leichhardt Oval is the venue for Sunday afternoon’s NRLW trial between Wests Tigers and St. George Illawarra Dragons.
For the home side, a nearly full-strength team will take to the field at the Eighth Wonder, with the hit out also representing the unofficial debuts of a number of new faces to the Wests Tigers NRLW squad.
A new-look backline is set to start the match for the Tigers, with recruits Jetaya Faifua, Emily Bass, Terina Te Tamaki, Caitlin Turnbull and Faythe Manera in line to make their inaugural showings in orange, black and white.
In the forward pack, Pihuka Berryman-Duff has been named to start at No. 9, while fellow new face Jade Fonua takes the lock forward role.
After missing the majority of last year’s NRLW season through injury, Kezie Apps returns to skipper the side.
The likes of Christian Pio, Losana Lutu and Tara Reinke are also set to feature in an imposing Wests Tigers lineup.
The Dragons have also named a strong side, headlined by Raecene McGregor, Teagan Berry and Hannah Southwell.

For those keen to get to Leichhardt early, the club's Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership team will feature in their own respective trial from 10:45 am.
