Balmain junior Alex Seyfarth couldn’t hide his excitement about playing at the Eighth Wonder.

“I love it there. I grew up playing all my junior footy at Leichhardt, so every game you get the chance to go back there and put on the jersey and run out at Leichhardt on Sunday afternoon; it's my favourite place to play.”

Seyfarth also spoke about taking his opportunity back in the run-on side.

“He's [Benji's] given me the shot to put on the starting jersey again, so I'll just give it my best shot on the weekend.”

Winger Charlie Staines echoed the sentiment about the Leichhardt crowd being a potential difference-maker.

“We've gotta create an energy and bring the crowd into the game," said Staines.

“Looking for a good performance this weekend and hopefully that crowd will get on the back of it.”

Staines also expressed his eagerness to continue proving himself.

“I think anytime I get a chance to play first grade, I try to do my best… I'm playing some good footy, but would like to be better.”

The match will see new recruit Taylan May make his club debut, and the centre has impressed teammates since joining Wests Tigers.

“He's good. He's just… a beast. He's a big body, he's fast, he's agile; he's got everything,” said Staines.

“He's strong, he's powerful and he's quite intimidating too,” added Seyfarth.

Adam Doueihi will start in the No.13 jersey for the first time in his NRL career, a challenge the 26-year-old is embracing.

“I've never really been in the middle before; something new for me. But yeah, I'm excited… I felt really comfortable and solid with my defence and attack there.”

Doueihi also praised Taylan May’s impact since joining the squad.

“He’s really sharp on his feet and he's also a big boy. I know he got a hat-trick in reserve grade on the weekend, so hopefully we give him some ball in good-ball and see what he can do.”

Wests Tigers will be hoping a big home crowd can help spark another winning performance at Leichhardt this Sunday against the Titans.
