Hope and Murray sign on for 2026

Wests Tigers are pleased to announce that Tristan Hope and Charlie Murray have both extended their stays with Wests Tigers into the 2026 season.

The pair have each made their NRL debuts in the 2025 season and performed consistently for Western Suburbs Magpies in the NSW Cup.

Hope, on a Development deal this year, will move into the top 30, while Murray will progress to a Development contract in 2026.

Hope and Murray joined the club having had extensive experience in the Queensland Cup competition, winning a Grand Final together with Brisbane Tigers in 2023.

Having reached the top grade at 27 and 23-years-old respectively, both their games are built on hard work and consistency, qualities the duo have clearly displayed when given opportunities in the NRL.

Tristan is delighted to sign on with Wests Tigers for a second season.

"It's super exciting to extend for next year," said Hope.

"When you go from thinking that it’s your last crack and then to debut and string a couple of games together and now to get another year, it’s super special."

Charlie also expressed his gratitude at securing his future with the club.

"I'm so happy to be here next year and get a full pre-season under my belt," said Murray.

“I’m just happy that I’ve got the opportunity to do that, I love the club."

After joining the club ahead of the 2025 season, Charlie and Tristan are both examples of what can be achieved through persistence and dedication, and all at Wests Tigers are thrilled to see them remain with us into next year.
