Match Preview: NRLW Round 3 vs Titans

A huge matchup against the Titans awaits the Wests Tigers' NRLW team this weekend, with both teams looking to score their first wins of the 2025 season.

After a narrow defeat to the Bulldogs in Round 2, Wests Tigers take on the Gold Coast in what will be the first ever NRL and NRLW double-header at Leichhardt Oval. 

Team News – Wests Tigers

  • Salma Nour returns to the side at hooker after serving a two-match suspension picked up in the club's trial match against the Dragons.
  • Nour's inclusion pushes Pihuka Berryman-Duff to the interchange bench.
  • Jade Fonua is set to start at lock, with Amelia Huakau to bring impact off the bench.
  • Captain Kezie Apps starts in the second row.
  • Jessikah Reeves is out after failing a HIA in last Thursday's match against the Bulldogs.

Team News – Gold Coast Titans

  • Jaime Chapman, Sarina Masaga and Laikha Clarke are all big inclusions for the Titans after missing last week.
  • Georgia Grey moves to the wing to accomodate Masaga's inclusion, whilst Lily Patston also shifts back to the wing in place of Kayla Jackson.
  • Jasmine Solia has been named in the back-row with Sienna Lofipo to fill Georgia Hale's suspension-forced absence at lock.
  • Lily Kolc has been promoted to hooker with Taliah Fuimaono and Ngatokotoru Arakua on the extended bench.

The Gold Coast have been defeated 20-6 by the Cowboys and 44-4 by the Broncos in their opening two matches of the 2025 NRLW season.

After Wests Tigers' improved performance against the Dogs last Thursday, the home side will be hoping the Leichhardt crowd can spur them on to a big Round 3 victory.
