Javon Andrews joins Wests Tigers on long-term deal

Javon Andrews, the 2025 State of Origin U19s Player of the Match, will join Wests Tigers on a three-year deal from the 2026 season.

The Souths Acacia Ridge and Logan Brothers junior has been a standout through the Queensland junior representative systems and previously spent time with Wests Tigers Pathways in 2022-23.

A classy five-eighth, Andrews is currently captaining the Gold Coast Titans’ U20s team in the NRLQ Series and announced himself to the wider rugby league audience with his performance in the U19s Origin match in June.

He was dominant throughout, with his late try-assist and sideline conversion helping lead Queensland to a 23-22 win.

The young half is delighted to join Wests Tigers from next season.

“I'm excited to be coming back to the Tigers,” said Andrews.

“It's a great opportunity to learn from Benji, one of the best halves of the game, as well as from the wider team.

“I'm looking forward to embracing the club culture, developing my skills, and continuing to grow as a player.”

Andrews attended Marsden State High School and was a consistently strong performer when representing them through various rugby league tournaments and competitions.

The teenager also made his Queensland Cup debut for Tweed Seagulls over the weekend.

All at Wests Tigers are pleased to welcome Javon back to Wests Tigers from next season.
