Co-captain Jarome Luai was firm in his message that the focus remains internal, despite external noise surrounding the match.

“It’s not about the Dogs. It’s about us. And that’s what we need to focus on; putting on a good performance in front of our home fans,” Luai said.

The four-time premiership-winning playmaker said he’s learned to tune out external noise and maintain focus on his job.

“At the end of the day it’s not gonna help you play on game day… I know who’s important in my corner and who wants the best for me.”

Luai also confirmed his commitment to the club and the direction it's heading under Benji Marshall.

“I'm staying, don't worry. For life,” he declared.

With co-captain Api Koroisau recently re-signing, Luai believes the team's foundations are strong moving forward.

“He’s a big part of this club and he’s a big reason why I’ve come here as well… good to see the skip locked in for a few more years.”

Front-rower Fonua Pole said the team is determined to respond after a tough loss last week.

"We just came to today with a lot of energy and trying to focus on this game… and hopefully put our best foot forward.”

Pole highlighted the return of key players, including Jahream Bula, as a boost to the side’s energy and confidence.

“He’s massive. We already know how much of a big talent he is… especially with our other additions back this week as well.”

Veteran forward Alex Twal is expecting a tough challenge against a Bulldogs outfit sitting in the top four, but said the Tigers are embracing the opportunity.

“They've got threats all over the field… but looking forward to the challenge.”

Sunday’s fixture will be the first meeting between the Tigers and Bulldogs in 2025, with the match set to be one of the season's biggest and best Sydney showdowns.

Kick-off is at 2:00pm at CommBank Stadium.
