Match Preview: NRL Round 24 vs Sea Eagles

Wests Tigers will close out the inaugural Gadhu Gathering this Sunday afternoon when they face the Manly Sea Eagles at Allianz Stadium.

Benji Marshall’s side returns from the bye refreshed and rejuvenated, chasing back-to-back victories after a dominant Round 22 performance over the Bulldogs.

The Tigers will also be fuelled by pride and purpose as they run out in their 2025 Indigenous Jersey, inspired by the dreams and stories of young Indigenous artists from the South West Sydney Academy of Sport.

There are some changes to the Wests Tigers lineup for this match.

  • Adam Doueihi retains the No.7 jersey after impressing against the Bulldogs.
  • Starford To’a returns in the centres, replacing Brent Naden.
  • Alex Seyfarth is unavailable through suspension, prompting Alex Twal to shift to lock and Fonua Pole to start at prop.
  • Charlie Murray joins the interchange for his third NRL appearance.

Anthony Seibold has also made several changes to his side following last week’s loss to the Raiders.

  • Lehi Hopoate returns from injury on the wing, pushing Reuben Garrick into the centres and Tommy Talau to the bench.
  • Ben Trbojevic returns in the second row, while Jazz Tevaga replaces Jake Trbojevic (concussion) at lock.
  • Caleb Navale has been added to the bench after serving as 18th man in Round 23.

Manly come into this match desperate for a result after three consecutive losses, now sitting 10th on the ladder, two points shy of the top eight.

Wests Tigers' last win over the Sea Eagles came in Round 25, 2024 at Leichhardt Oval.
