BTR: 20 Years On

Wests Tigers are celebrating the 20-year anniversary of the club’s historic 2005 Premiership win with four special editions of Behind the Roar, proudly brought to you by PWA (Pro Wrestling Australia).

Hosted by premiership-winning forward John Skandalis, this series brings together some of the key figures from that unforgettable season to reflect on the moments, memories, and mateship that delivered Wests Tigers their first NRL Premiership.

Skando is joined by Benji Marshall, Brett Hodgson, Chris Heighington and Dene Halatau; four of his premiership-winning teammates who played pivotal roles in the fairy-tale run of 2005.

The former stars share candid stories about the season that defined a generation of Wests Tigers fans; from the eight-game winning streak that turned the campaign around, to the bond that kept the squad so connected on and off the field.

In this series, the group relives the highs, the lessons, and the lasting brotherhood of a season that remains one of rugby league’s greatest underdog triumphs.
