After leading 28-12 at halftime, a disappointing second half led to the home side rallying their way back into the contest and securing the win.
Wests Tigers posted first points when Jahream Bula left above Keano Kini to score a spectacular try.
Samuela Fainu forced an error when he put a big shot on Kini, before in the 13th minute, in a moment all Wests Tigers fans would have been hoping for, Heamasi Makasini scored on debut.
A bust from Samuela Fainu led to the big back-rower offloading to Jarome Luai, before the ball went out to the 18-year-old, who finished the move off in the corner.
The Titans though managed to take the lead when AJ Brimson and Brian Kelly scored in quick succession.

At 12-10, the next four-pointer would be a crucial one and Wests Tigers ensured they would grab it when Royce Hunt crashed over for his first try in orange, white and black.
Hunt incredibly grabbed his second just four minutes later, as Samuela Fainu continued his outstanding evening. Fainu collected a cross-field bomb and offloaded to the front-rower who scored under the posts to give Wests Tigers a 22-12 lead.
Latu Fainu extended the lead when he sliced right through the line, with the score-line reading 28-12 to the visitors at halftime.

Jayden Campbell then crossed for the Titans to narrow the margin after the break, before Cooper Bai had his special debut moment taken away from him when his try was ruled out due to Titans chasers taking out Bula.
Brian Kelly’s 64th minute try got the Gold Coast back into the match, and Beau Fermor got on the board two minutes later to ensure the Titans would retake the lead late in the contest.
AJ Brimson’s try sealed victory for the Queensland outfit, with the final scoreline reading 36-28 in favour of the Titans at Cbus Super Stadium.
