While both teams are out of finals contention, there’s no shortage of motivation with the match marking the final appearance for inaugural NRLW Head Coach Brett Kimmorley, who will step away from the role at season’s end.

Having led Wests Tigers through their first three seasons in the competition, Kimmorley has played a pivotal role in laying the foundations for the club’s elite women’s program.

There’s a handful of changes to the side that went down to the Eels in Round 10, including a new fullback and a reshuffled pack:

  • Evie McGrath comes in at fullback for Caitlin Turnbull, who has been ruled out following a head knock.
  • Salma Nour earns a start at hooker, pushing Pihuka Berryman-Duff to the bench.
  • Montana Clifford returns to the starting side in the back row, with Portia Bourke moving to lock.
  • Amelia Huakau joins the interchange, while Iemaima Etuale shifts to the reserves.

In their return season to the NRLW, the Warriors have unearthed exciting talent and will be looking to end 2025 with a win of their own.

They welcome back key players from suspension, including Laishon Albert-Jones and Tysha Ikenasio, while Emmanita Paki will fill in at five-eighth following an injury to playmaker Patricia Maliepo.

The Warriors have lost four straight matches but have shown plenty of resilience and development, with outside backs Tyra Wetere and Payton Takimoana in fine try-scoring form.
