
Wests Tigers have concluded their season with an incredible 28-24 comeback win over the Eels in Round 11 of the NSW Women’s Premiership.

The home side trailed 24-4 at halftime at Lidcombe Oval before producing a miraculous turnaround in the second period to secure the two points and knock Parramatta out of a finals spot.
The visitors struck first through Ella Carlisle before former Wests Tiger Jess Kennedy crashed over under the posts to make it 12-0 after just nine minutes.
A Tallara Bamblett cutout ball produced first points for the home side as Elizabeth Lomu-Stewart strolled over in the corner, however Carlisle’s 80 metre effort from a tap restart and Kennedy’s second try made it a 24-4 lead at the break for Parramatta.
From there though, Wests Tigers came up with an unthinkable run of second-half points.
Tiresa Leasuasu powered over to get them back into the match, before Saige Tautalafua helped set up their second four-pointer. The teenage second-row star busted straight through the Eels line before handing it off to her captain Bamblett, who raced away to score.
Jessikah Reeves showcased her strength when she pushed and twisted her way over to score, before the match-winning try ensued on the very last play of the match.
20-year-old fullback Tiana-Lee Thorne sliced through to score under the posts and complete a truly amazing 28-24 comeback win for Wests Tigers.
