Several Wests Tigers players have been rewarded for outstanding seasons with selection in international squads ahead of the 2025 Pacific Championships tournaments and the upcoming Ashes series.

The international fixtures will feature some of the biggest names in world rugby league, with a strong Wests Tigers presence across multiple nations.
Australia
The Club is proudly represented in the Australian Jillaroos squad, with NRLW co-captain Kezie Apps and front-rower Sarah Togatuki both earning national selection.
The experienced duo were inspirational leaders throughout the club’s 2025 NRLW campaign, with their passion, physicality and professionalism shining in what was another strong individual season for both players.
Apps – a long-time representative for New South Wales and Australia – brings trademark toughness to the green and gold, while Togatuki’s explosive impact and leadership continue to set the standard among forwards at every level.

Wests Tigers NRLW captain, Apps will once again co-captain her country alongside Broncos halfback, Ali Brigginshaw.
In addition to Togatuki and Apps’ selection in the Australian setup, rookie winger/fullback Caitlin Turnbull has been selected in the Australian Prime Minister’s XIII squad after an outstanding first NRLW season.
Turnbull scored eight tries in 2025 in an eye-catching debut campaign, with her selection in the squad recognition of her impressive output.
England
Incoming Wests Tiger Kai Pearce-Paul has been named in England’s squad for the Ashes series against Australia.
The 24-year-old back-rower, who will join Wests Tigers ahead of the 2026 NRL season has been a standout for Newcastle and on the international stage.

Pearce-Paul’s selection continues his rapid rise, adding further excitement ahead of his move to Concord next season.
Fiji
A strong Wests Tigers influence also features in the extended Fiji Bati squad, led by Jahream Bula, Sunia Turuva, and brothers Samuela and Sione Fainu.
Bula – who made his international debut for Fiji in 2023 – enjoyed another impressive NRL season and continues to grow as one of the game’s brightest young fullbacks.

Turuva’s inclusion follows a consistent year on the wing, while Samuela Fainu joins older brother Sione in the squad in a proud moment for their family.
NRL squad member Solomone Saukuru and Wests Tigers Pathways product Josese Lanyon have also been included in the squad.
Fiji are set to name their final squad later on Tuesday.
Samoa
Fresh off their first seasons in Wests Tigers colours, Jarome Luai, Terrell May and Taylan May have been named in the Toa Samoa squad.
The trio were key figures throughout the 2025 NRL campaign, forming the backbone of the Samoan contingent at Concord.

Luai – who co-captained Wests Tigers in his first year at the club – will again take a leadership role in the blue jersey, while the May brothers add power and punch to Samoa’s forward and backline options.
The Fetu Samoa side is represented by Wests Tigers duo Jetaya Faifua and Pihuka Berryman-Duff.
The skilful pair both joined Wests Tigers ahead of the 2025 season, with Faifua’s quick feet proving a handful at five-eighth/fullback while Berryman-Duff’s consistency was invaluable over the course of the campaign.
Faifua and Berryman-Duff have both previously represented their nation of heritage at Pacific Championship tournaments.
Tonga
Wests Tigers also have multiple players set to feature in the Tongan squad during the upcoming Pacific Championships tournament.
Jade Fonua and Ruby Fifita have both been named to represent the island nation, with Fifita poised to make her international debut.
The pair are set to bring power and effort to the Tongan forward pack as they did for Wests Tigers over the course of the season.

Fonua played all 11 games for Wests Tigers in her first year at the club, making 234 tackles and recording 19 tackle breaks, while Fifita joined the club mid-season as an injury replacement.
The front-rower impressed in her first four appearances at NRLW level, with her powerful carries and reliable defence making her a valuable inclusion in the squad.
