The Wests Tigers are pleased to announce the signing of Kiwi Ferns captain, Raecene McGregor for the 2026 NRLW season.

McGregor returns to Concord having previously been involved in the Club’s Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership program prior to securing an NRLW licence.
The 27-year-old has most recently been with the St George Illawarra Dragons, having been named co-captain for their 2025 campaign.
A three-time NRLW Premiership winner, McGregor brings a wealth of experience to the Club’s playmaking stocks with 48 appearances across her career, as well as 14 caps for the Kiwi Ferns.
One of the competition’s most credentialed players, McGregor has a Dally M Medal, Golden Boot and an RLPA Players’ Champion Award to sit alongside her Premierships and a Pacific Championships title.

McGregor’s arrival at Concord now means the Wests Tigers will be home to both the current Jillaroos (Kezie Apps) and Kiwi Ferns captains in 2026.
McGregor said she was looking forward to returning to the Wests Tigers and representing them at NRLW level.
“I’ve already spent some time at the Club and I’m looking forward to coming back,” McGregor said.
A lot has happened since then and the Club has come a long way, I can’t wait to train out of the new facility at Concord and play alongside some very talented players.

“You can see the way the Club is trying to grow its women’s program at all levels, and I want to be part of that. I’m grateful for this opportunity and excited about what’s ahead,” McGregor concluded.
Incoming Wests Tigers NRLW Head Coach, Craig Sandercock said McGregor’s return to Concord was significant for the program.
“Raecene brings so much quality and experience, she will be a huge asset for us both on and off the field,” Sandercock said.

“We identified Raecene as someone who could add another dimension to our squad, with the ability to get the most out of the players around her. I’m looking forward to working with her and seeing the contribution she can make to our program.
“She’s the current Kiwi Ferns captain for a reason and it illustrates her standing in the women’s game, we’re really pleased to welcome a player of Raecene’s calibre to the Club,” Sandercock concluded.
